And if anything, the Ukraine conflict has clearly demonstrated that western weapons are too costly and fragile for high-intensity combat scenarios. Too easily damaged, and too difficult to repair or replace. And who will operate these weapons, do you suppose? Nobody is lining up to join ANY EU army, nor will they if war with Russia is the goal.
